Andrew J. Utick
Andy graduated from Helena High School in Helena, Montana, in 1961, then attended the University of Montana at Missoula, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.
He received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Montana School of Law and was admitted to the State Bar of Montana in 1969. He then practiced law for eight years with a local law firm, with the emphasis primarily on workers' compensation and personal injury law. In 1977 he set up his own private practice emphasizing the same specialties, in addition to business law. In 1979, he joined with Norm Grosfield in forming the law firm of Utick & Grosfield, continuing with the same specialties. In 2005, he formed the Utick Law Firm, and has been a sole practitioner since that time, until his daughter, Andrea J. Utick Fox, joined the firm.
Andy has been a regular presenter at seminars for other lawyers in Montana, was a founding member and first chairman of the Workers' Compensation Court Rules Advisory Committee, and has been listed in "Best Lawyers in America" continuously since 1995.
In 2009, he joined the board of directors of Helena Industries, Inc., a non-profit organization that provides jobs and job training for disabled people. He currently serves as the Immediate Past Chair of the Board of Directors of Helena Industries.
He is also a computer hobbyist, actually achieving the lofty level of "nerd." He is one of the founding members of Montana Internet Corporation, Inc. (MIC), the first Internet Service Provider (ISP) in Helena. Currently, MIC has points of presence in Helena, Great Falls, Lewistown, Boulder, Townsend, Ulm, Cascade and the surrounding areas. He has served as President and Chairman of the Board of MIC since it was founded in 1994.
In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, and his children and grandson. He pursues his interests in photography and matting and framing, some results of which can be viewed on his office walls.
Andrea J. Utick Fox
Andrea J. Utick Fox was born and raised in Helena, Montana, and graduated from Capital High School. She went on to attend the University of Montana in Missoula, where she earned a baccalaureate degree in History with a minor in Women’s Studies.
Andrea attended the University of Montana School of Law, performing her clinical internship with Montana Legal Services. She graduated from the School of Law and was admitted to the Montana State Bar. Specializing in family law, collaborative law, and mediation, she is passionate about providing compassionate, affordable, and high quality legal services to her clients.
Andrea is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Helena Industries, Inc., a non-profit organization based in Helena that provides jobs and job training for disabled people. She is also the Chair of the Helena Industries Thrift Store Committee, and an enthusiastic supporter of the Helena Industries Thrift Store.
In her spare time, Andrea enjoys outdoor activities, travel, and spending time with her family.
Annie L. Utick
Annie has been with the Utick Law Firm since 1980, working as the paralegal and office manager. A Montana native, she attended Oklahoma State University, and later earned a Doctor of Naturopathy degree from Clayton School of Natural Healing.
In her spare time, Annie enjoys spending time with family, and pursues her passion for genealogical and family history research, and has produced a number of books on this subject for interested relatives.
In 2011, she edited and published "Spitballs in the Night," her mother's memoir about growing up in a children's home in the mid-20th century. This book is now available on Amazon.com.
